Living among volcanoes: La Garrotxa's volcanoes, geology and landscape
One of Catalonia's leading volcanology experts will be at Worldcanic to explain the virtues of volcano eruptions.
“Volcanoes are a hazard for societies, but they are also enormous allies which provide fertile soils, spectacular landscapes, great gastronomy and a source of inspiration", says the geologist, who works in the volcanic area of La Garrotxa in Catalonia, which has more than 40 volcanoes.
