Gino González

Gino González specialises in handling eruptive crises.
Gino González, who holds a Geology qualification from the University of Costa Rica, has been working in active volcanoes since 2008, chiefly the eruptive crises of Costa Rica volcanoes Rincón de la Vieja, Poás and Turrialba.
González has a Master in the Handling of Disasters with a focus on Seismology from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies (Tokyo, Japan), and he is a doctorate student at the University of Bari and Italy's National Geophysics and Vulcanology Institute.
President of the NGO "Volcanes sin Fronteras", he has worked on scientific publications in magazines such as Nature and Scientific Report, and won the prize for Best Research on the postgraduate course at the International Institute of Seismology and Earthquake Engineering in Tsukuba (Japan).
